Save
Polylactic Acid (PLA) is derived from renewable resources like corn or cassava. Crops absorb CO2 when growing, it takes less energy and this produces less greenhouse gas to produce PLA than fossil-based plastic.

Sustainable
Polylactic Acid (PLA) is biodegradable under industrial composting conditions, starting with the chemical hydrolysis process, followed by microbial digestion, to ultimately degrade the PLA. Under these conditions (50-60 °C), PLA can decompose into water and carbon dioxide in 50-180 days.

Why Polylactic Acid (PLA)
As a bio-based material, PLA comes from nature and returns to nature. The raw materials come from corn, sugar cane, cassava and other crops. During the crops growing, photosynthesis absorbs CO2 and releases O2. When PLA material producing, about 77% CO2 will be saved compare to PET. In the recycling process, PLA can be biodegraded into water and CO2 under industrial composting. While effectively reducing the consumption of fossil resources, it also reduces the pollution of waste products to water, soil and air. In addition to degradable properties, PLA also has excellent processing properties, human affinity and safety properties, natural antibacterial properties, etc., these characteristics make PLA can replace fossil products in many fields.
