Recently, Anta successfully launched its first biodegradable sports T-shirt containing CELYS™ polyester fiber! Under the GB standard test, this T-shirt has a degradation rate of 97.1% in 6 months!

Tested by: TUV Rheinland Laboratories

Fabric composition: 60% cotton, 20% lyocell, 20% CELYS polyester fiber

Anta sent the T-shirt to the TUV Rheinland laboratory, and in the composting bin, the T-shirt printed with the “From Beijing to Paris” pattern gradually evolved from the initial beautiful and complete into a difficult “jigsaw puzzle”, which shows us how biodegradable fiber fabrics disappear step by step in just a few months by microorganisms turning them into “fertilizer”. In just a few months, the biodegradable fiber fabric was turned into “fertilizer” by microorganisms and disappeared step by step. Ordinary polyester fibers do not degrade for hundreds of years, so why does this polyester T-shirt pass the test? It all starts with the new polyester fiber CELYS™ (CELYS®), which is a “baby alien” in the polyester family, because it has the same properties as the polyester fiber. It can be called the “alien baby” in the polyester family, because it has a completely different “DNA” from ordinary polyester, which is actually more like cotton! Ordinary polyester material has an extremely stable chemical structure and does not absorb water, so microorganisms cannot proliferate on its surface and affect it, thus generating a large amount of permanent microplastic contamination of the environment during daily washing or disposal in landfills.
