TESA, an international manufacturer of innovative tapes and self-adhesive product solutions, is launching another innovative packaging tape. The new tesa® 60408 contains a strong paper backing and a natural rubber adhesive with 100% bio-based resin. With a total bio-based carbon content of 92%, the tape has received the highest bio-based carbon content rating from DIN CERTCO (>85%). For many industries, including food and beverage and pharmaceutical manufacturing, or the logistics, warehousing and supply chain sectors, tesa® 60408 offers an alternative to traditional packaging tapes. The tape is ideally suited for light and medium-weight packaging weighing up to 20 kg.
Robust, tear-resistant, low-noise
With high tensile strength and tear resistance, tesa® 60408 provides security for packaged products in the supply chain. It is ideal for displaying branding and has proven to have good printability in several types of ink systems. The tape is suitable for both manual and automatic dispensers and is essentially silent in use. It is also easy to recycle and certified according to the INGEDE method, which means it can easily be processed with packaging in everyday paper and card recycling without interfering with the recycling process. In addition, the production process is completely solvent-free.
