UK-based sustainable packaging company Frugalpac has won its first customer for a paper bottle machine used to make Frugal bottles - the world's first and only commercial wine, spirits and olive oil bottles made from recycled paper.

Canadian packaging company KinsBrae Packaging has agreed to purchase the first paper bottle assembly machine, called the FBAM-1, and install it in its Canadian plant.

One FBAM-1 is capable of producing more than 2.5 million paper bottles per year.

More than 25 different beverage producers from around the world now offer wine, spirits and olive oil products in Frugal bottles. Frugalpac has also received inquiries from 87 other international brand packaging companies looking to purchase Frugal bottle assemblers in the coming months.

Malcolm Waugh, CEO of Frugalpac, said.

2022 will be the year of the paper bottle, and we are excited to sell our first Frugal bottle assembler platform to KinsBrae Packaging.

While we currently produce Frugal bottles in Ipswich, this partnership will allow us to operate on the North American continent and further reduce the carbon footprint of our bottles. We are proud to have this relationship with KinsBrae Packaging, who has a proven track record of producing and supplying sustainable packaging. Now, we are inviting other packaging companies, bottlers and co-packers to join our paper bottle revolution by investing in their own Frugal bottle machines.

It's clear that consumers are keen on more sustainable packaging materials, which is a great opportunity for packaging companies, bottlers and the printing industry.

Frugalpac has received inquiries to order more than 120 million Frugal bottles from beverage and olive oil brands around the world, and KinsBrae will play an important role in meeting this global demand.

We currently have 87 other companies that are keen to purchase a Frugal bottle assembly machine. Our goal is to put these paper bottle machines in bottling plants so we can further reduce the carbon footprint of sustainable packaging and set up Frugal bottle centers around the world.

"We want to save the planet one bottle at a time, and we welcome KinsBrae to the paper bottle revolution!"
