Chinese factory joins: global layout of bio-based materials!

Indorama Ventures of Thailand recently announced that it is advancing sustainability efforts by producing 100% bio-based polymers for tires and other specialty applications.  The high-strength PA4,10 yarn is produced at the plant in Obernburg, Germany, from “quality-balanced” 100% bio-based sebacic acid and bio-based butylenediamine. The Thailand-based chemical group said it has also obtained ISCC+ certification for two other fiber production sites in Italy and China. Both divisions are said to supply technical yarns for mobile mobility, tire cord, airbags, and industrial and technical rubber products.

 

Indorama Group said it produces, among other products, quality-balanced PA6,6 and PA4,6 at its plants in Obernburg and Pizzighettone, Italy, but did not specify the percentage of sustainable materials in these products.Indorama also produces recycled PET yarn at its manufacturing plant in Kaiping, China and tire cord fabric. The company says the yarn and fabric are made from 100 percent recycled PET, highlighting the company's recycling practices and low-carbon products.
