Dutch bottled water company Bottle Up was dismayed to see the canals of Amsterdam filled with single-use plastic bottles. To help eliminate waste, Bottle Up has designed a durable water bottle that's safe enough to be refilled and as convenient as other water bottles on the market.

However, Bottle Up's commitment to sustainability goes beyond reducing plastic waste. By making bottles from carbon-capturing bio-based materials, Bottle Up actively combats climate change by reducing the carbon footprint of its products.

Bottle Up has partnered with Braskem because they believe that through Braskem's Sustainable Ethanol Sourcing Program, the sourcing and development of I'm Green™ biobased products is sustainable and protective of people and the environment.

Bottle Up co-founder Andrew Eversden said using Braskem’s I’m green bio-based material further enhances the bottle’s sustainability: “We are also passionate about using materials that are good for the planet. It's made from sugar cane, which actually captures carbon from the atmosphere. So when you choose to “bottle” you’re not just getting a great product – you’re also fighting climate change. "
