The RENOLIT Group is a multinational group of companies specializing in the research, development and manufacture of high-quality plastic films and related extended products and services. As early as the beginning of 2023, RENOLIT's "RGC"-"RENOLIT Goes Circular" project replaced some of the polymers in the raw material with PIR (post-industrial recycling) materials and launched three series of recyclable decorative films, RENOLIT R-PVC.
Recently, RENOLIT has been working on the development of bio-based PVC using plant-based raw materials instead of petroleum. This vegetable raw material, Tall Oil, is a pure vegetable oil, mainly obtained from the wood of coniferous trees, and is a renewable raw material. Tall oil is a pure by-product of the pulp industry, made from wood extracts released when wood pulp is boiled, eliminating the need to cut down trees to obtain this raw material.
Today, RENOLIT's bio-based PVC can be integrated into existing supply chains and production processes, and can even be combined with PVC made from traditional raw materials.
RENOLIT bio@ film products, made from bio-based PVC raw materials, are a breakthrough in sustainable plastics! With the same properties and application possibilities as traditional PVC products, it enhances product sustainability while retaining the positive properties of the product and makes a significant contribution to climate protection by reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90% compared to traditional PVC products!
RENOLIT bio@, RENOLIT's bio-based PVC product, is now certified sustainable by ISCC plus (ISCC-PLUS-Cert-ES226-20230004)! This means that we can ensure the traceability of sustainable raw materials throughout the supply chain of RENOLIT bio@.
